SPIS not saving secondary electrons on particle detector

Hi, I have a problem with newer versions of SPIS, where I define particle detectors for different electron populations (elec1, photoElec, secondary from electrons -SE and secondary from ions - SI). In the previous versions (5.2.4, 6.1.0) it worked as expected and the detector for SE detected secondaries below the spacecraft potential. However in the new SPIS, the ParticleList for SE is completely empty, even if there are stored trajectories for SE emitted from the detector and hitting back. Following figures show comparison of the same simulation with SPIS 6.1.0 and SPIS 6.2.4.

Another issue, already in the older SPIS versions, are the source positions of the detected electrons. Following figure shows the positions as stored in the ParticleList for SE (with SPIS 6.1.0), the blue dots show position of the secondary electron source and yellow dots show the position of detected secondaries on the detector. The blue locations are clearly accumulated into few mesh surfaces. That is probably something inherent to the backtracking.
Could you look into the issues?
With the best wishes,
David Hercik

Hi David. Nice plots! That does look like a bug in SPIS 6.2.4. I’ll tag @sebhess, and hopefully he can look into it.

Also, I think you meant to attach another figure with positions of secondaries? It is not appearing

Hi Fredrik, thanks a lot for the quick reply. The issue appeared already in one of the previous versions, I think maybe in 6.2.0.
Yes, sorry, the plot with source and detected positions of secondaries (from 6.1.0) is here:

Would be great, if somebody could look into these issues, well mainly the first one. Thanks a lot, also for the whole SPIS software, it is really helpful.
