Hii, I am new to SPIS. I am simulating one random GEO spacecraft which consists of one cube (5 surface ITO, 1 surface kapton), two solar panel (diffrent material) & yoke both side by taking NASA worst case GEO plasma. When I am not giving any circuit file, It is calculating surface potential reaching up to -5 to -10 kV which is expected also. But as I put V 0 1 0, V 0 2 0 …for all material (Assuming it makes reference ground common to all dielectric). It is giving surface potential reaching positive side. All other conditions are same in both cases. As for GEO spacecraft surface potential should come negative in kV. Why my results are showing wrong after circuit file? Pease comment.
It is possible that this is true, that the total photoemission,etc, from all panels is a larger current than the currents from the electrons. I cannot verify the results from here, but you can easily make a toy model and calculate the amplitude of the currents. The surface potential of dielectrics should differ from the node/ground potential of the same though, so make sure to check the 3D results.
