the manual explains (pg. 73) run a 1-D element you just have to change S/C mesh properties to 1-D. The potentials I was obtaining from this seemed not correct.
From initial results it seems we also have to change the S/C thin elements to 1-D wire.

Yes you are right, thanks for your post.
Since even the SPIS developers keep forgetting it and become mad each time they want to perform simulation with wires (well et least I do), this will be changed in the next release so only one property has to be changed.
